Theme Talk Session 07/08
So What have we learnt on 26th June?
Woo hoo!! We have officially released this year’s theme last Tuesday. For those who missed it….here’s a short recap…
Theme 07/08: Go Forth!
Sub theme for 1st trimester: Training Ground
The session started as usual with praise and worship. Next, Audrey (our beloved president) briefed us about this year’s theme. We later broke into 6 groups for station games. There were interesting and ‘grueling’ tasks that each group had to complete at each station, which were actually a prelude to the 1st semester events. The games were also aimed at fostering new friendships as well as building teamwork amongst members. And yeah, it is for FUN! :) Thanks to everyone who so sportingly participated.
‘Go forth!’ here carries the meaning of reaching out as the army of God with the light of Christ to those around us and to claim what is rightfully His for His glory alone. Being the CF, our main mission field is our campus. We are called to bless and serve our campus; by sharing the love of God and living a godly example for others to follow. Keep in mind that Christ is our Supreme Commander and our sole reason for everything we do. Before a soldier can go to battle, he or she must be trained first. In line with that, this trimester’s subtheme will be Training Ground, where we will focus on equipping ourselves to be strong soldiers in the Lord’s army.
As we step into our new academic year, let us reflect once again on last year theme, Building up Radical People (B.U.R.P) where we re-learnt the roots of our faith. After one year of building and pruning, its time we apply what we have learnt. Go forth!...and be the radical in action
