REALationships; gist-text.

What did we learn last week?

1) Learn to receive the other person as a gift.

2) Forgive one another. The golden rule ( Love your neighbour as yourself ) still applies after a break up.

3) Don't start dating till you're ready for marriage. ( Dating : Losing freedom for no/hardly any long-term returns)

4) Husbands, love your wives, Wives, Respect your husbands.

5) Make sure you are not just looking for Mr/Ms Right, but you are BEING Mr/Ms Right.

6) As you draw closer to God, you draw closer to each other. ie : the triangle thing.

Qualities that one should have before starting a relationship:
- identity, know who you are in Christ.
- be confident in self, be whole, not needy.

Qualities looked for in partners :
- Godly character
- Loving
- Self-identity
- Sense of humour
- excited about life.

How to make sure you do not fall away from God when in a relationship?
- Accountability ( with pastors, leaders )
- Time ALONE with God, without partner there all the time.

we learnt a whole lot more, i'm shure. But this is basically what this blogger-contributor managed to remember/pen-down. feel free to add comments and such.

CF is not on holiday! Come an hour earlier for a short worship and prayer before we head to our very own Inter-faith Talk in Cyberjaya campus. Listen and learn what others have to say about their faith and beliefs on the particular topic. A good way to learn to be a cross-cultural & Christ-centered Christian.

*Interfaith talk itself will be at HB4 carpark*

Real Men, Real Women ?

So the last CF saw the 'real men' oblingingly leave the room for another just so the 'real women' can be comfy and safe in the CF room.

So the 'real men' learnt the art of becoming a better man from Ps Kenneth and team. Apparently it involves doing the dishes and saying something more than "mmhhmm".

And the 'real women' learnt that the only perfect man who ever lived was Jesus, and so we need to give our men a chance. The 'real women' also learnt to pray and pray somemore. And to submit. (hmm)

And then some of us went to Putrajaya precinct 9 mamak to teh tariks and a toast that we all emerge as the better 'real men and real women' we should all aspire to be.


And that's what we learnt at CF last tuesday.
