BREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!

Break out. There are different moments in our lives that we are put into a position to breakout. It is still our choice whether we will breakout or stay put in our comfort zones. Following Jesus/Christian faith can be pictured from the passage in Matthew 14: 22-34.

Matthew 14:22-34 (New International Version)

Jesus Walks on the Water
22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.25During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
27But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29"Come," he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."
34When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.

The boat in the passage represents our comfort zones/shell where we’d rather stay put than move on. But God promises us good if we follow Him and keep our eyes only on Him. If we focus our eyes on God, He’ll bring us through our struggles. Just like in the passage, when Peter focused on Jesus, he immediately went to Jesus, walking on water. But the wind in the passage is like the things of the world such as temptations to distract our attention from Jesus. It’ll only distract us if we allow it to happen. Sometimes, when we’re going through struggles, we feel alone. That’s not true! In order for us to grow mature in Christ, we have to take courage to step forward, trusting that He’ll catch us. God is there to watching over us and holding our hands. We just needs us to have a little faith in Him. Don’t limit our experiences with God. Every day is a brand new experience with our Father, only if we step out of our comfortable places.

Sometimes we’re just too self-centered, thinking the world revolves around us. God is always inviting us to go back to Him, will we rest our assurance on Him to move on or do we still hold on to the things we think is right? God will have better plans for our lives only if we follow His Ways and trust Him. So, come and break out. Blessings are awaiting us!
