Recap :Passing Down & Easter Sharing
There are many ways we could share our faith, but not all are appropriate. Firstly, the “gospel salesman”, where the main objective is to convince people of Jesus, and once that is done they move on to the next person. Problem with this there is no genuine relationship with that person and this is not helpful for that person to grow in faith. Next would be there “fire and brimstone preacher”. These type of preacher’s only focus on God punishment and not His everlasting love for us. Even when Jesus was on earth, the main focus on His ministry was to preach about His Father in heaven and His love for us and not God’s punishment. Usually the main focus of these “fire and brimstone preachers” is to get a ticket out of hell and not build a relationship with the Father. This can also leave people with unpleasant experiences as the focus is only on God’s punishment and not His love. Another way not to do it would be to organize something to get people into the church. This will not be effective because it creates an environment where non-Christians will have to come to us. For most of this events on Christians would be present and this won’t be effective in reaching out to non-Christians. The main problems with these 3 styles have is that they often have a lot of cold calls because it often includes going up to strangers, someone with no relationship to us. This leads to cold interaction because there’s little or no relationship, and it usually ends up being awkward, confrontational or offensive and also because there’s usually a hidden agenda, we tend not to be real and honest with the other person, giving them a false sense of faith. And ultimately this leads to cold cases where there is no follow-up, lots of emphasis on the method to reach out, but no plan for if what if it fails, or if the person refuses. In most cases its drop it and move on. A few things to consider when reaching out to people, when it’s not done out of love it would be futile. Secondly, we should always be there to meet their need and not shove the gospel down their throats or give them a false sense of faith. Thirdly we must be sensitive to opportunities to reach out to people and not just stay in our comfort zones in CF or in church.

Recap :God Of Pain
God Himself feels pain and grief. Reflecting on Jesus’ journey to the cross we have to come face to face to His pain and agony. For the women who followed Him, who were so grief stricken, He turned to them in kindness and compassion addressing their faith. For example, when on the cross, he entrusted His mother to his disciple John. When Jesus rose again, to His disciples who were confuse afraid and even in denial of Him, Jesus did not condemn them. For example, He let Thomas feel His scars to cure his unbelief. We must always remember that Jesus was both fully Man & God. He indeed felt a lot of pain, when His people did not believe Him, when he was also tempted in the garden and when Jesus was on the cross, dying for our sins. But even in all this, He was free to do what God set for him. Jesus did not hide His pain and agony from God, but He still wanted to do His Father’s will. Jesus trusted the Father regardless of His own circumstances and because of that he had freedom to finish His work to grant us forgiveness and restore our relationship with God through the cross. We must always remember during our midst of pain, He cares for us and even feels our pain. Now God did not make us weak to show Himself strong. It is because of our very own weaknesses, and because we allow God’s grace in our lives, we are able to go through trials and we are strong because of our heavenly Father. Finally a little something we could learn from Jabez whose name meant pain. Jabez did not let himself to be tied down to pain. Instead he sought God to change Him, and this is something we all must do in times of pain and trials. We must also be there for our brothers and sisters during their time of trials and pray for them that they would be able to experience God’s grace as they go through tough times for this was the example set by our Lord Jesus Christ, that even in His pain and agony His heart was always for His people and to always do the Father’s will. You may download the sermon slides as well as the recording below.

Recap :R.v.R
Christianity is it a relationship or a religion. One reason why people believe in religion is because they want blessing and to escape Gods punishment. This is actually a pagan believe. There’s actually a definition for religion in the bible, it can be found in James 1:27, Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world; and it’s nothing to do with rituals. The centre of Christianity is not about the laws but the condition of your heart. An example would be the rich young man, who kept all the laws, but ultimately his god was not the LORD but in his possessions. His heart was not set on God and unless our heart is set on God we can never truly experience eternal life. Being a Christian we must not run away from loving other, especially the people who are difficult to love. Here are a few steps we can take to build relationships with other:-1) Spend time with others
2) Touch (kind of like hugs but please don’t touch people in the wrong way la)
3) Giving gifts
4) Serving others
5) Words (use your tongue to build other)
We just have to find out how people want love to be expressed to them. We must always remember we are made differently and we perceive thing differently and sometimes conflicts will arise. When they do we must learn to:-
1) Compromise (not your principal but with people)
2) Forgive (don’t hold back any resentment….it’s not healthy too)
3) If you are in the wrong admit your mistake, feel sorry, be willing to
apologize and pay compensation if necessary and be willing to rebuild the relationshipWe must also respect other and remember to do onto others what we want done to us. If need be we must also be willing to go the extra mile but at the same time not let others to purposely take advantage of us.

For the Green Record event, we're gonna attempt to build the largest scout logo using Recyclable materials, and this time we'll be using Newspaper, and creating LOTS of newspaper balls.
There would be people in the Central Food Court (CFC) daily at the following time slots:
10am - 2pm
3pm - 7pm
8pm - 12am
In return of your hard work, we're giving out Certificates from the Malaysian Book of Record; however the catch is that the more you participate, the higher level of cert you would obtain.
